Preventing Split ends

Split ends are the most common hair problem faced by women. This problem arises when the hair’s cuticle actually wears down. This problem is more pronounced whenever hair is either dry or brittle. Anyone suffering from this problem should therefore not brush your hair when it is wet. You should also consult your dermatologist if you want to use any other chemical treatment such as hair colors, which could compound the problem. Using a good quality shampoo is the best form of treating this condition. Another good tip would be to wear a hat during harsh summers and cold winters which will help in preventing split ends.

Colon Cancer treatment

Colon cancer is among the most frequently found type of all cancers which usually occurs in people over 50 year of age. The major reason which is attributed to this type of cancer is one’s diet. A diet which is low on fiber and high on fat is considered a potential cause for colon cancer. Just as in the case with other diseases, prevention is always the better option than cure in this case too. Even though this is true to a large extent, there are many treatment methods too that are available to treat this condition. Colon cancer surgery is among the most frequently done method of treatment. Colon cancer surgery consists of removing ‘polyps’ which form on the walls of the colon.

Hair loss, Causes and Treatment

Hair loss caused by alopecia areata often reverses on its own.  Alopecia areata is hair loss caused when the immune system attacks hair follicles, where hair growth begins. Although most people with hair loss caused by alopecia areata regrow their hair, certain people are at greater risk for their hair not growing back.

Treatment for hair loss caused by an illness, medication, or damage to the hair usually is more successful than treatment for inherited hair loss.  It is a common hair loss cause that can often be seen in a dermatology clinic.  The reason for the development of this major hair loss cause is still unknown and the public is still not quite familiar with alopecia areata.  Due to the ignorance of the masses this hair loss cause can have a profound impact on one’s life and functional status, both at work and at school.  Mechanism of the hair loss cause in this major hair loss cause, the affected hair follicles are mistakenly attacked by a person’s own immune system (white blood cells).  Although there is a lot of inflammation involved in this hair loss cause, the harmful effects of the immune system focuses on the roots of the hair follicle under the skin.  Hormones, allergies, viruses, and even toxins might contribute to this severe hair loss cause.  Although not life-threatening, this severe hair loss cause is a major cause of concern, due to its sudden onset, recurrent hair loss and unpredictable results.  However, about 30% of individuals find the hair loss cause persists and becomes more extensive.  Some of the treatments of this hair loss cause, are generally effective in milder cases, but none are universally effective.

Treatment

Treatment to regrow hair does not work for everyone.  Treatment for hair loss may boost self-esteem and overall well-being, although the trade-off might be that it affects your health.  Treatment for inherited hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) aims to prevent hair loss, promote hair growth, and cover bald areas of the scalp.  Treatment for hair loss caused by an illness, medication, or damage to the hair usually is more successful than treatment for inherited hair loss.  Hair usually grows back within 1 year without treatment; however, 10% of people with the condition may never regrow their hair.  Hair may grow back on its own, although you may also need treatment.  Some people feel they need treatment, while others are not as concerned about thinning hair or baldness.  If you have inherited hair loss, you would need treatment to regrow your hair.  How successful your treatment is depends on your expectations and the cause of hair loss.

Inherited

Inherited hair loss the most common cause of hair loss is genetics-you inherit the tendency to lose hair from either or both of your parents.  Inherited hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) often begins between the ages of 12 and 40, and about half the population has some hair loss by about 50 years of age.  Inherited hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) cannot be prevented.  Excessive hair loss (more than 100 hairs a day) can be caused by inherited factors, disease, stress, medications, injury, aging, or hair care.   In inherited hair loss, men generally develop bald spots on the forehead area or on the top of the head, while women have an overall thinning of the hair throughout the scalp.  Women with inherited hair loss who wish to take birth control pills should use a pill type that does not add to hair loss, such as a norgestimate or ethynodiol diacetate.  In women with inherited hair loss, hair care and the occasional use of grooming products, hair sprays, hair color, teasing, permanents, or frequent washing will not increase hair loss.  Limited research on the dietary supplements saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol shows they may help men with inherited hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) regrow hair.

The reason for the development of this major hair loss cause is still unknown and the public is still not quite familiar with alopecia areata..

‘Acne’ Is American worried?

Acne

Acne is resulted from imbalances and impurities within the human body,
it is usually found on the face, shoulders, back, and neck areas of the body, and is usually caused by oily skin.  Acne is very common, affecting about eighty of every hundred young people.  Acne is a condition limited to that particular individual and you cannot “catch” it by hanging around someone who is acne prone.  Acne is the term for plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), pimples, and even deeper lumps (cysts or nodules) that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the upper arms.  Acne affects most teenagers to some extent.  Acne lesions range in severity from comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) to nodules and cysts.  Acne pustules that heal without progressing to cystic form usually leave no scars.  Acne affects young men and young women about equally, but there are differences.  Practically all people have had to deal with acne from time to time.  In fact, washing too vigorously could make acne worse.

Treatment

Americans treat the problem an internal cleansing treatment that goes right to the source and fights acne before it even begins.  acne antibiotic treatment, acne blemish laser treatment, acne adult female treatment, acne blemish treatment, laser acne treatment, acne scar treatment, body acne treatment, acne home treatment, acne care treatment, natural acne treatment, cystic acne treatment, acne scar laser treatment, clearlight acne treatment.

Treatments of acne can escort you to greater confidence and self-esteem.  • Avoiding contact of hair with face and ensuring shampooing of hair at regular intervals• Use of moisturizers meant for acne treatment• Avoiding oil based cosmetics and using water based make up products.  Americans spend well over a hundred million dollars a year for nonprescription acne treatments, not even taking into account special soaps and cleansers.

Skin

It is mainly caused due to blockage of skin follicle ducts of sebaceous glands.  There are many causes of acne, but to cure them, you first need to understand this skin disorder.  Some people say that eating particular foods can cause your skin to become irritated with acne.  You may hear that eating fatty or greasy foods, or snacking on chocolate is harmful to your skin.  However, this has never been proven and there are plenty of people in the world who have flawless skin and still eat french fries.  It doesn’t matter how clean you are, because blackheads get their dark coloring through skin pigment, not dirt.  Lastly, an overload of stress in your life can cause your skin to be blemish prone.  Remember to always cleanse your skin regularly morning and night, no matter how tired or late you are.  The natural oils in your skin and hair can further encourage blemishes to form, so the more “hands off” that you can manage to be, the better.  It is also a great idea to see a doctor if you are concerned about scarring or the fact that your skin condition is not improving well on its own.

Medicine

• Sulfonamide: It is one of the oldest medicines used for acne and skin inflammation treatment.
Retinoids: It is a vitamin A group medicine.

Remedies

There are many Home Remedies for Acne which have been used for hundreds of years.  Below are some of the Home Remedies for Acne suggested mostly by users.

Cooking condiments such as vinegar and salt have their uses as Home Remedies for Acne.

One may choose to try alternate medications such as home remedies and herbal remedies before using medications mentioned in the preceding lines.  At times these alternate remedies prove more beneficial and give better results.  The main advantage of these remedies is that it does not have any side effects.

Lara out, but Akshay back on Bachchans’ world tour

While actress Lara Dutta has opted out of the Bachchans’

“Unforgettable Show” world tour because of her knee injury, Akshay

Kumar has decided to join it, though he will perform only at select

venues.

The show’s organisers Wizcraft are now in the process of finalising

seven to eight big stars from Bollywood to accompany Amitabh and

Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai at various venues in July and

August.

“Akshay is back in the Bachchans’ world tour. But he’ll join them only

at selected venues because that is all Akshay’s schedules allow,” said a

source.

“Likewise, at other centres we’re roping in other A-listers who will

join the Bachchans as they perform all over the US and later Europe. In

this way there would be a couple of big surprise guest appearances by

marquee names in every city, though rightly the focus of interest would

remain the Bachchan family,” added the source.

Composer duo Vishal-Shekhar has been confirmed as a part of the

tour. They will be accompanying the Bachchans for all their concerts,

just like decades ago Kalyanji-Anandji used to be an integral part of

the Big B’s concerts.

In fact, an album featuring Abhishek with guest vocals by the Big B

that Vishal-Shekhar have been putting together for the last two years

will finally be ready to coincide with the Bachchans’ world concert.

Shilpa Shetty to produce films

Shilpa Shetty will soon begin a big budget action-comedy to be made

by her production house S2 Global Productions with some

top-of-the-line international technicians as part of her crew.

“It’s going to be a two-heroine project. While Shilpa will be playing

one part, she is in the process of signing on another big Bollywood

heroine for it,” confirms her publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

After Phir Milenge, Dus, Apne and Metro, the actress has become

extremely choosy. While we witnessed a metamorphosis in Brand

Shilpa from actress to diva since Big Brother happened to her, she has

been offered astronomical amounts for certain film projects abroad as

well as in Bollywood.

“Its only natural to be offered unheard of amounts after the kind of

international fame she has received,” says Bhagwagar and adds, “Shilpa

is choosing only those films which will give her complete creative

satisfaction.”

Two of Shilpa’s forthcoming movies will witness her in completely

different roles. Sunny Deol’s next directorial venture The Man

(co-directed by Neeraj Pathak) will see her playing a role very close to

her real life experience last year.

Her character portrays the meteoric rise of a simple but dedicated girl

to instant global stardom. Her next project would be filmmaker Uru

Patel’s international flick Hanuman, featuring her in the role of

Goddess Sita, with Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves being tipped to

play Lord Ram.

Sonu Sood: latoo over a Tattoo

Saif Ali Khan inking girlfriend Kareena Kapoor’s name on his forearm

has set a trend. Now it’s Sonu Sood’s turn to get a tattoo. But it is

strictly a professional necessity and stretches all the way from his

shoulder to his forearm.

Ten in one
Sood plays an actor who ends up enacting 10 different roles in Umesh

Shukla’s, Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. The tattoo which is an integral part of

one of the get-ups, has been designed by a deaf and mute artist Anil.

Sood had thought of getting himself a tattoo earlier, but felt that it

would be too much of trouble to hide it with make-up every time he

had to face the camera. But now he had the perfect excuse and got the

tattoo done with the consent of Shukla.

“I sketched out the rough idea for Anil. He then wrote down his sugge

tions for me. After an exchange of ideasonpaper,we startedwork. It

took three hours but ended up looking too small onmy beefy arm. So

Anil had to re-work it, making it slightly bigger and now it’s just

right,” smiles Sood, displaying it proudly.

The design incorporates some martial arts weapons which Sood had

seen frequently in Oiental action flicks.

Proud tattoo owner Keen to flaunt his new acquisition, Sood is often

seen in vests and shortsleeved T-shirts these days.

“But I’ll have to cover it up now since I’ve started shooting for Ek

Vivaah Aisa Bhi. I’ll have to wear full-sleeved shrits and Tees now,”

he sighs.

What’s co-star Ishaa Koppikar’s take on the tattoo, “Oh, she liked it,”

he beams.

I write with images in mind: Roberts

Gregory David Roberts, author of the bestseller “Shantaram” that is

now being made into a movie by director Mira Nair, says he always

knew that his autobiographical novel would be adapted into a film.

“It feels great that my novel is now adapted into a film. However, I

always knew it would happen because I am a filmic writer,” Roberts

told IANS.

“I mean, when I write, I write with images in mind. In fact, with the

advent of cinema all writers do that now, contrary to the past when it

(cinema) wasn’t there,” said the Australia born author, who speaks

Hindi as fluently as he speaks English.

The film of the same name stars Amitabh Bachchan and Johnny Depp.

It narrates the story of a convicted Australian bank robber and heroin

addict who escapes from prison and flees to India, where he lives for

10 years.

And the wizard of words is all praise for Depp and Big B.

“What could have been better than Hollywood bigwig Johnny Depp

being a part of the film. I have met Depp and, apart from being a great

actor, he is a wonderful person. One must see how he adores his kids.

He is an amazing father.

“And Amitabhji is not only Bollywood’s but the world’s greatest

actor…more than that he is an icon. Only a handful of people across the

globe enjoy the position he does.

“Both the actors are larger than the parts they play in movies. So many

people around the world learn so much from them. Also, I am an

ardent fan of Nana Patekar. He is a fantastic actor. When I met him I

touched his feet. He is just great.”

He said glowingly: “I love Bollywood films! It doesn’t matter whether

you watch them on DVDs, CDs, on television or in a theatre - they are

full entertainers.”

“You sit with a popcorn tub, some bhelpuri, sevpuri, order some

paneer paranthas, yellow dal and when the film ends, your mind and

tummy both are full,” added Roberts, who is a vegetarian and loves

“spicy” Indian food.

Commenting on the continually evolving Hindi film industry, he said:

“The new talent coming in the industry is so far better than yesteryears.

For instance, Anurag Basu’s Life…In a Metro is such a beautiful film.

“It is so well shot, so modern, and if you dub it in any other language it

would do equally well. Although, filmmakers must understand that the

days of three-hour movies are over. If they cut it shorter to 90-100

minutes standard it would appeal to a larger international audience.”

Calling the shots

If it’s Aamir Khan, it’s interference. From award-winning editors to

the most genial spotboy, all claim that he is a control freak. Which, on

a positive note, may be construed as a quest for perfectionism.

After Amol Gupte, the original director of Taare Zameen Par, threw in

the towel, news is that all is not exactly hunky dory in the case of Jaane

Tu Ya Jaane Na, the debut film of his nephew Imran Khan. Talk

abounds that there have been ‘creative differences’ between Mr

Perfectionist and the film’s writer-director Abbas Tyrewala.

Now the question is: Is Khan the only Mr Know-all around? The

answer would be NO.. because almost every star in Bollywood today

wants to be in the director’s shoes. Besides the absurd amount of

crores that are being charged by the stars, practically all the ones in the

A-list are behaving like quasi-directors.

Maybe they are just following the tracks laid by some yesteryear

greats.. Dilip Kumar has admitted to ghost directing many films,

including the classic Ganga Jumna, but his inputs were not always

welcome. The industry grapevine then buzzed about the legendary

movie moghul’s A R Kardar’s ill-health and untimely death being

caused by Dilip Kumar’s interference during the making of Dil Diya

Dard Liya.

Others like Raaj Kumar and Rajesh Khanna gave their directors a hard

time when their wishes (better lines, co-stars’ scenes chopped..) were

ignored. Projects were often abandoned because the producer went

bankrupt trying to keep their films afloat.

If Aamir Khan’s interference is an open secret, Sanjay Dutt’s recent

penchant for calling the shots is largely unknown to those outside the

film industry. If Aamir Khan’s interference is an open secret, Sanjay

Dutt’s recent penchant for calling the shots is largely unknown to those

outside the film industry. Dutt, once known as the director’s actor,

today often decides on camera angles and the right take. If the

unitwallas of Kidnap are to be believed, Dutt was the ‘creative’ leader

and director Sanjay Gadhvi the perfect follower.

Know all
Salman Khan has also become infamous for his temper tantrums and

his I-know-more-than-anyone-else attitude. During the shooting of

Tere Naam he was so unhappy with the way the film was shaping up

that he even slapped director Satish Kaushik. Being a writer’s son and

a writer himself, Salman believes he’s always on the right track.

Incidentally, he started his career as an assistant director to Sashilal

Nair during Falak and Parivaar.. so the desire to call the shots is not

surprising.

All’s well
Shiney Ahuja has come in for criticism by some directors

(off-the-record, of course). Recently, Kunal Shivdasani (Hijack), went

on record, at pains to clarify rumours that Ahuja was not interfering at

all.. and that he’s a friend. Hrithik Roshan has learnt the tricks of his

trade with his own production banner.

Ashutosh Gowariker reportedly had to get the video monitor removed

after the first few days’ of the Jodhaa-Akbar shoot. Hrithik,

narcissisitically, insists on checking out every take and suggesting (?)

which one should be used.

Approach Nana Patekar for a film and instead of asking for a story

narration, he humbly asks the director why he thought of casting him?

So far so good. The director is touched with Nana’s courtesy but the

story on the sets is unbelievable. Patekar is always ready with

suggestions on how to ‘enhance the project.’ The director has to grin,

bear it and also execute it.

Call yug ki kahaani

Some are born with silver cell phones in their mouth, others aren’t. But

friends, sleek cells or not, we’re all insaan log.

Surprise surprise, so is the star set. They have their blacker than coal

moods and use language ranging from the Emily Post-like politesse to

the unadulterated mc-bc.

To disclose a secret, a heroine with a barfi-sweet, gharelu image is an

expert gandi gaaliwaali. You get the picture then.

I’m just dialling into the subject: about how to organise meetings with

heroes, heroines, directors. It’s all done through the phone to the

interviewee, straight, direct, since most secretaries are more occupied

in turning into film producers themselves. Not many do.

Accha, so I’ve detected a pattern in setting up these star mulaqats.

First, you must possess a phone — there was a time when MTNL was

very MEANTNL about allocating lines — and then you must possess

the star’s phone number.

Mobile numbers are far preferable to landlines which are only

answered by yells, “Khaaaali peeeli, idhar phone nahin karne ka kya.

Bola na madame.. saheb.. nahaa rayela hai.. kya?.. alag ya saath mein?

Tere ko kya, saala halqat.”

Never mind if stars are unreachable, mostly. As for the sms route, you

may be stranded in the Antarctica snows or being roasted for a meal by

cannibals, but your msgs for emergency help always draw a blank.

Receiver banged. It’s infinitely better to go to cell and back. Never

mind if stars are unreachable, mostly. As for the sms route, you may be

stranded in the Antarctica snows or being roasted for a meal by

cannibals, but your msgs for emergency help always draw a blank. The

only response may be from my Bhojpuri superstar pal Ravi Kissen

saying, “Ham dulhania ke lagey jaibo jaibo.”

No use crying over unanswered connections, no? Just for the record, I

will tell you of my most horrifying and delightful phone experiences.

Great connections
Undoubtedly, the Bachchans were rumoured to have the best phone

manners in the show world. Leave a message with the operator, and

your call will be returned, if it is of any consequence.

Now, he’s best contactable on the sms and after all the perils he’s been

going through, can’t even spell as well as he used to. Sad.

Source of constant amusement, a domestic help at Asha Bhosle’s

Peddar Road apartment sounds as angry as the Mangeshkars do about

the flyover. When I call, she renames me, “Asokraa.” Of late, she hasn’t

been picking up the phone. That’s why I haven’t been calling up Ashaji

either. Shah Rukh Khan, he may be in any part of the world, but on a

special day, he’ll get in touch, and make me realise I am not alone.

Never.

Ego boost
Rishi Kapoor, after a couple of sunset Patialas, will always tell me

what a good person I am, how he liked something I wrote, and that I

deserve the entire crate of Emilion wine which will turn to vinegar, if I

don’t drop by soon. Whenever I’m low, Chints boosts the shreds of my

ego.

Kareena Kapoor, hot on the sms front, will respond “my dr hw u whr u

luvz ksses, bk in a wk frm KlLmpr vmst mt sn”, but has never kept her

word. But at least, she sends hrtwrmng endrments. Tabu, not regular,

but when she does sms it’s with no agenda, no nothing, just keeping in

touch.

I don’t want to be called hot: Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif’s sizzling number Sexy lady in Race and now an

impending item song in the sporty film Blue have given her a sensuous

image, but she’s surprisingly uncomfortable with it.

“I want to retain the image of the girl next door. I don’t want the hot

image. Even in Sexy lady I’m fully clothed. I’m still the girl next door.

It’s not the conventionally sexy kind of song,” Katrina told IANS.

Race, where she’s pitched for the sensuous sweepstakes against

Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy, has Katrina pulling out all the stops

to erase the homely image.

But she says: “I don’t think so. Everything in Race looks

larger-than-life, very fulsome, urgent and exaggerated. The actors are

styled accordingly. I haven’t done anything like it. Everyone’s talking

about it. I guess that’s a good sign.”

Katrina is equally reluctant to accept she’s doing the most expensive

item song ever in Blue.

“I wouldn’t know about how expensive it is, but I’m doing a special

appearance in Blue and the song-dance is part of it. Yeah, I’m part of

the film in a unique way. Akshay Kumar got me into it.

“As for the expenses, nowadays so many numbers are thrown into the

public’s face. I don’t think it’s right for actors to talk about the financial

side of a film,” said the actress who gave hits like Namastey London

and Welcome last year.

“I want to retain the image of the girl next door. I don’t want the hot

image. Even in Sexy lady I’m fully clothed. It’s not the conventionally

sexy kind of song.”Next, ask her about the status of her relationship

with Salman Khan and she clams up. “I’d like to keep that personal.”

Is it right to presume she’s still with Salman?

“You can presume whatever you like. You can presume I’m an alien

from outer space, if you like. Right now I’m in a very happy place.

“Even rumours of us actresses fighting for space in Race is way off the

mark. I’ve my own place in Race. My confidence-level has grown in

recent times and, yes, it’s partly because of the hits that I’ve had.”

After a number of films where her voice was dubbed Katrina finally

used her own voice in Namastey London. And now she says she has

dubbed for Race.

“I’ve been working very hard on my diction. I try to speak in Hindi in

my daily dealings.”

After being with Salman, who patented the name Prem in a series of

films, Katrina seems stuck with another Prem, Ranbir Kapoor, who’s

her co-star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

“I guess they’re worth being stuck with,” she replied tongue-in-cheek.

“I just love the script, my character and Ranbir’s role. He’s so much

into his work. I’m also getting there. For me acting is no longer a

hobby.”

“My next is a Govinda-Lara-Riteish starrer” - David Dhawan

By Subhash K. Jha, Bollywood Hungama News Network

After an 8-month sabbatical, the irrepressible David Dhawan is back in

the swing of things. Says the rejuvenated director, “The layoff has done

me good. I needed the break from direction, yaar! It’s not as if I was

sitting idle at home. I was a judge on a dance show. That, I enjoyed

thoroughly. I was finalizing the scripts for my next two films and

spending time with my family.” He intends to direct two films this

year.

“The first would be for my friend Vashu Bhagnani with my dear friend

Govinda in the lead. It’ll be an out-and-out David-Govinda dhamaka,

the kind audiences will expect from us. This would be my sixth film

with Vashu, can you believe it? We still continue to believe in each

other! We’re looking for a dhamaal title for this film. But my next

Hook Ya Crook written by Rensil D’Silva is a complete departure

from everything I’ve done so far.”

David’s film for Vashu pairs Govinda with Lara Dutta once again after

Ravi Chopra’s Pappu Pass Ho Gaya. The film will also star Riteish

Deshmukh. While the Vashu project takes him into familiar territory

David has decided on a completely new team for Hook Ya Crook.

“Rensil wrote the full script for me immediately after Rang De

Basanti. He’s an amazing writer. His film for me is unbelievable. I’ve

decided on John Abraham for the lead. One more major leading man

has to be selected. This is darkish film with violence in it. But nothing

that would make audiences alarmed, ‘Arrey yeh David Dhawan ko kya

ho gaya?’

David’s son Rohit is also ready to turn director this year. “In a couple

of months, Rohit will ready with his project. I’ll most probably be

producing the film along with a corporate house.”

Mumbai-based Crest to co-produce Hollywood animation flicks

Mumbai, April 4 (IANS) India’s Rs.13 billion ($324 million) animation industry is going places. Hollywood’s film entertainment studio Lionsgate Friday announced a three-movie co-production deal with Crest Animation Productions, a subsidiary of Mumbai’s Crest Animation Studios Ltd.

“The movies will be in CGI (computer generated imagery) animated features. The first of these, ‘Alpha and Omega’ is already under production on a budget of $25 million,” said Ken Katsumoto, who is producing the movie for Lionsgate.

The animation for the entire movie will be created in-house at Crest Animation Studios at Ghatkopar in northeast Mumbai.

Pre-production for the movie is underway at Crest Animation Productions’ facility in Burbank, California.

“We are very excited to be working with Crest, which is one of the world’s finest CG animation studios. It is justifiably called the ‘Disney Studios’ of India,” Katsumoto said after announcing the deal to the media.

“Alpha and Omega”, a 3D animated feature, is being made on the lines of “Finding Nemo” and “The Lion King”. It is about the imaginary journey of two kidnapped wolves who find love along the way.

Former Disney director Richard Rich, who made movies like “Fox and the Hound”, is producing the movie for Crest.

Noah Fogelson, CEO of Crest Animation Productions, Seemha Ramanna and A.K. Madhavan, managing director and co-founder and CEO of Crest Animation Studios Ltd respectively, are executive producers

Directed by Anthony Bell and Ben Gluck, “Alpha and Omega” is the first animated Hollywood movie to be created entirely by an Indian company.

Justin Long (of “Live Free or Die Hard” fame) and Hayden Panettiere (of “Raising Helen” fame) will lend their voices to the pair of wolves in the movie.

Madhavan told IANS that the activities of Crest Animation Studios was totally centred around Hollywood now and that it had stopped taking any job for Indian movies and television.

“As our Hollywood assignments increased over the years, we have to set up a studio in California to prepare the pre-production work for animated films. But our animation studio is still at Ghatkopar in Mumbai,” he said.

Crest Animation Studios Ltd, earlier known as Crest Communications, was founded by Shyam Raja Ramanna in 1990. It was one of the first studios in India to do CG work for Indian movies.
