Upcoming film Tree of Life, independently produced, written and

directed by acclaimed director Terrence Malick, has such a small

budget that its stars Sean Penn and Brad Pitt are paying for their

accommodation.

The film’s production company had arranged for Penn and Pitt to stay

at the same hotel, the Hyatt Lost Pines near Austin, Texas,

contactmusic.com reports. But Pitt’s people hesitated at the $2,000 a

night price and initially wanted to pay $3,000 for the entire month’s

stay. The hotel rejected this offer.

So Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie have decided to rent a house near the

shooting location.
