Socialite Paris Hilton wants to have a baby because she loves caring for “beautiful animals”.Thesun.co.uk reports that after her friend Nicole Richie had a daughter, the 27-year-old is inspired to have a child and plans to get pregnant in the coming year.

Hilton said: “I have a lot of beautiful animals that I look after and I feel I would have a lot to give to my children.”

She has been dating rocker Benji Madden of the band Good Charlotte for a few months now.

Viveik Oberoi, who was to play an important role in Prakash Jha’s next movie Rajniti, has opted out of the project.”In fact, Viveik was offered Rajniti and wanted to do the film. But since he had already committed the required dates to a Karan Johar production to be directed by Rensil D’Silva, he couldn’t be part of it,” said his publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

“However, he has been an admirer of all Prakash Jha movies and is keen to work with him in the future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Popcorn Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Ltd’s Mission Istanbul, starring Viveik along with Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan and Shriya Saran, is nearing release.

Is that why there is a marked similarity in Ash’s wardrobe in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj and Bipasha Basu’s in Corporate?Flashback: When Corporate was being planned, Bhandarkar had approached Aishwarya to play the central protagonist, Nishigandha. However, due to date problems, she couldn’t be a part of the film and Bipasha was roped.

“It appears that Ash always carried a secret desire to do a role where she could play a corporate woman. This is why when Ram Gopal Varma approached her for Sarkar Raj, she was all for it,” said an industry insider. “However, though this could be a coincidence, it is pretty apparent that Aishwarya’s wardrobe and look is pretty much based on the one Bipasha had in Corporate.”

On being told about the similarities, Varma said, “In a corporate world, you dress up a certain way. You can’t walk in dolled up like a heroine. Anyone familiar with the corporate world knows that it is mandated for senior professionals to wear smart business casuals. This is what Aishwarya also wears since she plays a personnel who represents the top management.”

He added, “Whether it is Bipasha, Ash or anyone before or after them, each of them would be seen in a similar attire in a role like this. I don’t see any reason why something as trivial as this should be made a matter of gossip

Guess who is Mallika Sherawat’s best friend these days? No, it is not Jackie Chan, who is much more than a friend! Her new friend is Asin, with whom she has struck a great rapport and is constantly in touch.

Mallika Sherwat the hot, sizzling Bollywood actress and our own Asin who has an image of a homely girl are like chalk and cheese. They met for the first time in Chennai at the Dasavatharam, audio launch in which Jackie Chan was present. Asin all prim and proper had never met Mallika during the shoot of the film as they had no combination scenes together.

So when they first met on stage at the Nehru stadium, the organizers had no time to even introduce them. After a few moments of embarrassing silence, Asin flashed her winsome disarming smile and Mallika too responded. Soon they started chatting up and found that their comfort level was good.

Mallika said that her brother was a big fan of Asin, and even seen some of her movies. She was also impressed that Aamir Khan chose her over other more glamorous Bollywood heroines. But our sources say, what impressed Mallika the most was that Asin did not try to cut a conversation with the hero of the evening Jackie Chan. Any other actress would have gone to Chan and introduced herself.

Actually when the function was over. director K.S Ravikumar went out of his way to introduce Chan to Asin. Mallika immediately took the initiative and made an opportunity for the photographers to click all the three together.

What is interesting is that, after she reached Mumbai,Mallika keeps in touch with Asin over the phone and exchanges pleasantries. Asin on her part thinks Mallika is a very nice person, a good friend and has no hang-up’s as made out by her rivals. Say Cheese!

Producer Mukesh Talreja has announced his intentions of remaking Warner Bros’ Hollywood hit Wedding Crashers in Hindi. Talreja and Warner Bros are, in fact, working out the formalities of the deal.Recently, Talreja also said that the badshaah of entertainers, David Dhawan, will helm the project. Reportedly, Salman Khan and Govinda, the Partner combo, will star in the film.

However, Talreja said: “David is on board, but it’s untrue that we’ve signed Salman or Govinda for the film. In fact, I haven’t spoken to Salman yet. We should take a call once we ink the deal with Warner.” He added that he plans to start the project before 2008 comes to a close.

Blaise Fernandes of Warner Bros endorses what Talreja stated. “Right now, only David Dhawan has been confirmed. As far as the casting goes, he [Talreja] has always worked with big stars and we’re sure he would opt for impressive names in this project as well,” he said.

It is going to be Priyanka all the way this summer.

Missing from the scene since Salaam-e-Ishq released, Priyanka now seems to be everywhere. She has three films releasing in the space of three weeks—Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho and Chamku.

While July 4 has been confirmed for Love Story 2050, producers Afzal Khan and Dharmendra are eyeing July 11 and July 18 for the arrival of God Tussi Great Ho and Chamku respectively. Priyanka has an interesting set of co-stars as well in the three films, with Harman Baweja, Salman Khan and Bobby Deol vying for her attention.

However, an industry insider said, “One wonders if Priyanka herself would be happy with three of her films arriving in such quick succession. Not only will it be too much happening simultaneously in her career, she will also have to work extensively on the promotions of three films simultaneously.”

He adds, “Moreover, she won’t even have time to catch her breath. Barely a month after her third release, she will be seen paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan in yet another high profile film, Drona. [The Goldie Behl fantasy is set for an August 15 release.]”

And what happens to Dostana and Fashion in the meantime?

“The poor girl doesn’t seem to be sighting a break,” said the industry insider. “She has just returned from the Miami shoot of Karan Johar’s Dostana and will be returning to the sets of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. Both films are aiming at a release before the year ends.”

Bollywood item girl Sambhavna Seth claims she is a better dancer than the popular Rakhi Sawant.

Sambhavna, who came to limelight with her dancing skills in 36 China Town, Sauda, Paagalpan and Kaafila, said she is a hundred percent better dancer than Rakhi.

“Rakhi is having a good time because she is getting all the good songs to perform on, but that doesn’t mean that she is a good dancer,” she said.

Citing the example of forthcoming film, Mudrank, on the life of Abdul Karim Telgi, in which both the item girls have one song each, she said her performance has been appreciated.

The director of the film, Shakir Sheikh, confirmed her claim and said that her performance was superior to that of Rakhi’s and added that even Telgi, who was shown the movie in jail, had appreciated Sambhavna’s performance.
 
 
 
 

Actress Carmen Electra’s relationship with Korn bassist Rob Patterson seems to be in peril. The actress, who gained popularity as a Playboy model and Baywatch actress, is upset over the engagement ring, which is not so expensive.

Perezhilton.com reports that just three weeks ago Carmen sported a black diamond engagement ring on her finger, but when she discovered that the ring costs less than $2,000, she got upset.

“She seems really embarrassed. I think the ring is a real deal breaker. She thought she’d be getting this giant rock. Instead, Rob bought it online for a bargain price,” said an insider.

The insider added: “Rob doesn’t have a lot of money coming in and he’s been driving around in Carmen’s car while she’s working. He’s a total freeloader. Carmen’s starting to realise that Rob may not be able to hold up his end of the bargain.

“They aren’t breaking up tomorrow. She’s shooting the movie Goodie Two Shoes in Louisiana and has lots of appearances lined up, so she and Rob won’t be together that much. The less time they spend together, the longer the relationship will drag on, but it won’t last. She’ll come to her senses.”

Another Britney Spears fender-bender, another instant online video. Paparazzi had cameras rolling when the pop star’s white Mercedes-Benz coupe rear-ended a red Ford Explorer on Tuesday in Beverly Hills.

The video, posted on TMZ.com, shows Spears in the driver’s seat. Wearing a ponytail and aviator shades, she covers her mouth with her hand after realising she hit the car in front of her.

No one was injured and police were not involved. Photos and video do not reveal any visible damage to either car.

The 26-year-old’s bodyguard, who was riding in the passenger seat, gave Spears’ information to the female driver of the SUV, People.com and TMZ reported.

Spears was involved in a separate fender-bender on April 12. No one was injured or cited in that accident.

Aamir Khan is at it again. After taking potshots at Big B and his film Black late last year, this it year looks like its SRK who is Aamir’s latest punching bag. Just a few months back when Aamir was asked at an event what would he like to ask Shah Rukh Khan, he replied tongue-in-cheek, “I would like to ask Shah Rukh, how it feels to be No.2.” While SRK did take it in the right spirit, there sure seems to some love lost between these two superstars.

Now the latest comes in the form of Aamir’s blog where he talks about Shah Rukh licking his feet and asking for his attention. And before you think that Aamir has lost it, the actor quickly clarifies that he is referring to his dog named Shah Rukh in his Panchgani home. Hmmm….Now how many dogs have a name like Shah Rukh we wonder?

In Aamir’s own words this is what he says, “Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?

Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shah Rukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shah Rukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shah Rukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shah Rukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shah Rukh!!!

Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shah Rukh’s to want to do that. Your guess…”

Even before signing off from his blog he takes one final dig at the Baadshah of Bollywood by saying, “Well Shah Rukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. “Heel boy, heel.”
