Is that why there is a marked similarity in Ash’s wardrobe in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj and Bipasha Basu’s in Corporate?Flashback: When Corporate was being planned, Bhandarkar had approached Aishwarya to play the central protagonist, Nishigandha. However, due to date problems, she couldn’t be a part of the film and Bipasha was roped.

“It appears that Ash always carried a secret desire to do a role where she could play a corporate woman. This is why when Ram Gopal Varma approached her for Sarkar Raj, she was all for it,” said an industry insider. “However, though this could be a coincidence, it is pretty apparent that Aishwarya’s wardrobe and look is pretty much based on the one Bipasha had in Corporate.”

On being told about the similarities, Varma said, “In a corporate world, you dress up a certain way. You can’t walk in dolled up like a heroine. Anyone familiar with the corporate world knows that it is mandated for senior professionals to wear smart business casuals. This is what Aishwarya also wears since she plays a personnel who represents the top management.”

He added, “Whether it is Bipasha, Ash or anyone before or after them, each of them would be seen in a similar attire in a role like this. I don’t see any reason why something as trivial as this should be made a matter of gossip
