Carmen Electra wants her fiance to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. The former Baywatch star, who got engaged to Korn guitarist Rob Patterson last month after a whirlwind romance, was overheard discussing her finances with Rob while they were getting matching pedicures. She also wants an arrangement in place before they tie the knot.

A fellow customer at Hollywood’s Planet Nails and Spa told In Touch Weekly magazine, “They were trying to decide on a time to meet an attorney.” A friend of Rob’s added, “She is a lot wealthier than he is.

He is really a nice guy, but he’s far from rich.”  Carmen, who has been married twice before, recently gushed about Rob saying she is marrying her ‘best friend’. She said, “We have known each other for a long time, it’s like we are best friends. He understands me and I understand him.”

Carmen, 36, also insisted her latest relationship cannot be compared with her previous marriages to basketball star Dennis Rodman and rocker Dave S Navarro.

Your IPL team has made it to the semi-finals.

Well, there were ups and downs when our team started out and I wasn’t sure where we were heading. I used to wonder what I was doing at the initial IPL meetings. So, I took the matter seriously and did my homework. I came out a winner finally. It feels good as I’ve worked very hard to get here.

• You seemed to be cheering Sachin Tendulkar even though he was in the opposite team…

Yes, I was. For me, it’s not about winning only. Both the teams played extremely well on Wednesday. I was so much on the edge of my seat that I nearly toppled over.

• Did you brief Sreesanth about keeping his temper in control?

No, I don’t instruct anybody. It’s not my job. We have a coach and a captain to do that. I don’t think it is right for me to intervene during matches.

• You’re the first woman from the entertainment business to have forayed into sports in such a big way…

Am I? Let’s see where we are headed. If my team wins the Cup, then I can proudly say yes, I’ve done it. It hasn’t been easy. I have put in a lot of effort to get players from different countries together, it signifies true sportsmanship. Looking back, I don’t know how we managed to do it. Now, when we’ve made it to the semi-finals, what we really want is the Cup.

• Have you personally gained from the whole experience?

I’ve learnt a lot about cricket. I feel very nervous during the matches though. Our team has had a good overall performance. I’m proud of them. Yuvraj has been an outstanding captain.

• The general consensus is that Ness and you managed to get the best IPL team…

We have the most balanced team. We also wanted a young and India-heavy team. People think that we have a glamorous team. But, our prerequisite was talent and the glamour is just an add-on element.

• What is it like to have Shah Rukh Khan as a competitor?

I don’t see him as competition. He’s a colleague and a dear friend. IPL is not about Shah Rukh or me. We are not playing on the field anyway.

Kareena Kapoor can put her hopes of being cast in My Name Is Khan to complete rest. For finally Karan Johar’s first choice Kajol has agreed to do the film. Kajol gave the nod to the project on Thursday.

A source close to Kajol’s husband, Ajay Devgan, tells us, “Kajol indeed took a long time to take a call on her participation in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, but the problem was that she had not heard the script in detail. This week, she took a long look at the script and finally said ‘yes’.”

“Karan and Kajol go back a long way. Their dosti is not only friendship but respect for each other as well. Kajol could not have refused the film outright,” the insider further says.

So how will Kajol adjust to the US schedule? Will her daughter Nysa accompany her? Wasn’t that one of the reasons why Kajol took long to give her nod of consent? “Well, that all will be sorted out. Kajol has worked out how to look after Nysa during that period. Whether Nysa will go with Kajol or not is still not known,” our source adds.

Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Shariff have been much talked about as a couple, though they have never come out in the open about their relationship.

Now, our sources informed us that the actor, who is debuting in Bollywood with Aamir, has organised a special screening of his film, only for Aamna.

We caught up with the two at a suburban multiplex where the screening was held at 4 pm on Saturday. When asked, Rajeev, as he walked out of the theatre, said, “Yes, the screening was mainly for Amna.

She had been waiting to watch the film for a long time after hearing the songs and watching the rushes, so I requested the producers to get a screening organised.”

Having a screening especially for Amna signifies her importance in Rajeev’s life. However, the actor shuns any such possibility by saying, “There are very few people for who I’d want to do this, and Amna is one of them.

She’s a close friend. I knew even before organising the screening that people would start talking again, but we’re not in a relationship. We’re friends.”

Who wouldn’t? But now it’s began to take its toll on her nerves. More than Kareena, it’s her mother Babita who’s worried and angry that Saif’s ceaseless trailing may affect her career.”
Friends say, Kareena has asked her beau to back off a bit. Quite a bit.

“But Saif is Saif. When he’s in love he’s nothing else. Ironically, he used to complain about Rozza’s constant attention. Today he’s behaving exactly the way that put him off her for good.

The stunner, at the moment, has no plans of hiring a new nanny to look after her twins. The nanny Jennifer and hubby Marc Anthony hired to look after three-month-old twins Max and Emme left the job last month and, instead of replacing her, Jennifer is caring for the pair around the clock.

Madonna has poured her heart out about her “painful” struggle to adopt Malawian child David Banda - comparing it with the suffering women go through in natural childbirth.

The 49-year-old pop superstar talked openly about her and husband Guy Ritchie’s controversial battle to adopt the two-year-old at a press conference about her new documentary ‘I Am Because We Are’ - which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. “It was painful and a big struggle and I didn’t understand it. In the end I rationalized that when a woman goes through natural childbirth, she suffers an enormous amount,” The Sun quoted her, as saying.

“I went through my own kind of birthing pains - dealing with the press on my doorstep, accusing me of kidnapping or whatever. But I had to go through some kind of process and in the end it made me stronger so I can’t complain,” she added.

Madonna also hit back at accusations that David was adopted without his father’s consent - and that his mother had not really died of Aids. She said: “Yes his mother did die of AIDS and yes, I met his father and he absolutely agreed to the adoption.

“There is nothing controversial about the adoption. It is just there’s a lot of bureaucracy and administration. This adoption essentially was the beginning of the creation of adoption laws in Malawi.” She further said that she now sees herself as the role model for future adoptions there.

Gisele Bundchen has revealed that she will never opt for plastic surgery, because she expects to get more beautiful with age.

In a bid to finally kick her drug addiction, Amy Winehouse will be flying all the way to a top Israeli rehab centre.

The troubled singer will go through a ‘very short, intensive and effective treatment’ costing 12,800 dollars within the next few weeks at the Barzilai Medical Centre. Eliezer Cohen, chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, has claimed that the clinic agreed to treat the 24-year-old after a request from her management.

“They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method. She has requested to come to him to do this method, since it’s a method that is suitable for her,” Contactmusic quoted Cohen, as saying.

Amy will receive 36 hours of treatment under Andre Waismann, who is looking forward to make the singer drug free. “All of my patients are discharged healthy and no longer dependent. There is a misunderstanding about drug addiction. People think it is a social and psychological problem, but it’s a neurological problem,” Waismann said.

“Whether it’s Amy Winehouse or anyone else, it is a privilege to be able to treat anyone who is opiate-dependent, and allow them to live a normal life,” he added.

Washington: Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has decided to go on a 21-day veggie detox plan.

The 54-year-old host announced her plans through her blog and said that this change would help her to think about eating differently.

“Wow, wow, wow! I never imagined meatless meals could be so satisfying,” she wrote. “I had been focused on what I had to give up - sugar, gluten, alcohol, meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese. ‘What’s left?’ I thought. Apparently a lot. I can honestly say every meal was a surprise and a delight, beginning with breakfast - strawberry rhubarb wheat-free crepes,” she added.

Winfrey said that she inspired by Kathy Freston’s book Quantum Wellness.

Her diet chart has been created by Freston’s chef Tal Ronne and includes food like tofu scramble roasted tomato, grilled onion and sweet garlic aioli quesadillas with jicama slaw, reports Usmagazine.com

“Don’t know if I’m going to feel better or worse but I’m willing to try to see if my body at least feels differently,” she wrote.

Actress Liv Tyler has adopted a rather ‘scary’ way to shed those extra pounds – horror films.

The Lord of The Rings beauty recently revealed that she lost “about 10 pounds” while making new film The Strangers - because she had to run around, acting frightened throughout the shoot. And the actress recommends the unusual weightloss programme to other actresses who are trying to lose weight.

“We had to be in that heightened state all the time and when you get scared or you’re shocked you kinda have a hard time breathing and you’re like hyperventilating and crying and screaming,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

“It was a great diet. I actually lost about 10 pounds in two weeks because I was running all day. It was amazing. I was like, ‘Jeez, I need to do this more often,’” she added.
