Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed Dilli 6 starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor in the lead has been postponed to a February 2009 end release. It was earlier planned to release in late December 2008. The reason being cited by unit insiders is the Bachchan’s long Unforgettable Tour which will be covering almost the entire globe and take months to complete. There were certain corrections in the script made after the last schedule ended which had the participation of all its main cast. Now these new sequences shall take time to be filmed as Abhishek is engaged with his first ever world tour.

A February 2009 end release, means Sonam Kapoor shall have absolutely no single release in 2008. Her Saawariya came in November 2007. Now with Dilli 6 postponed and none other film of hers looking set to release in this year, her fans are definately going to be dissappointed with this long wait. Reportedly, Amitabh Bachchan too is all set to join the Dilli 6 cast in a special appearance playing the role of his real life son, Abhishek’s grand father in the film

The little birdie is carrying it around that Bipasha Basu walked out of ‘Raaz 2’ because she did not want to pair opposite Emraan Hashmi. This has obviously hurt Emraan who has just returned from a 45-day schedule in South Africa for his forthcoming project ‘Jaanat’.

Emraan retorts, “Once the script is approved, we will start shooting. As far as Bipasha is concerned, it’s her creative liberty and decision who she wants to work with. My life doesn’t stop with her not being a part of my films.”

“I don’t care in the least who does Raaz 2. I am doing the film, I like my role and the film will do well with or without her!” adds the serial kisser of Bollywood.

Anyway, the actor beams talking about Vishesh Films’ ‘Jannat’, “Jannat’s tagline says in search of heaven he found hell. It’s a love story and will go down well with the youth.”

Speculations are rife that the macho man of Bollywood, John Abraham and the beautiful Bengali damsel, Bipasha Basu, have said good bi to each other. It is heard that one of the most well known Bollywood couple estranged when Bipasha left for Yorkshire, London to attend the IIFA awards ceremony and John made his way to Hyderabad to shoot for Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Aashayen’.

According to some close friends of the couple, John and Bips had been quarreling a lot from last few days. The two decided to part their ways soon after they were back from the shooting of the film ‘Goal’ in London.

However, the two hot stars have not officially declared their split yet. A source says that “They are not going to make it official any time soon as they need to appear together for certain brand.”

According to a recent interview of Bips, she hasn’t split with her handsome beau, John.

  The night, with too many initiatives. First, music composer Salim sang for the first time on stage even as Suleiman lent support with percussions. Second, as BT had reported, John Abraham exercised his vocal chords and gave his live audience much more than what they had hoped for. And thirdly, even though Nagesh Kukunoor promised the audience that he will not sing, the director was forced to come on stage and hum along with the others, which he did like a good sport. And must say, for first time singers, they all rocked!  The Bandra Amphitheatre resounded with music as a number of reallife singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Pakistani singer Shafqat Ali, Mohit Chauhan and Zubeen Garg too lent their talents and made it one beautiful musical night. Host Shailendra Singh dropped in for a while in the beginning but had to leave soon. Also seen having a great time were the pretty Sonal Sehgal, Elahe Heptoolah, Bhushan Kumar, Farida Jalal and Girish Karnad.

John played to the galleries as he took to the mike and sang pretty confidently amidst loud cheers from the girls in the audience. “Should I come up there?” he asked them and they loudly responded with a “Yes!” And then it was total frenzy as they cheered and sang along with him.

Ranbir-Deepika-Bipasha-Minissha starrer ‘Bachna Ae Haseenon‘ is definitely looking one of the ‘coolest’ release of this month with tremendous buzz in and outside the industry.

Can Yashraj films who are currently reeling under a series of flops, heave a sigh of relief with this one ?.

” The title of the film adds up to Number 59 which is no doubt a symbol of tremendous power, control, status and success. But given a choice, an extra ‘a’ in it’s title i.e. Bachna Ae Haseeno would have made a ‘world of difference’.

Bhavikk continues ” As the title and the cast suggests, the film is primarily a romantic love story and by bringing the title to add up to Number 60, the name then would have vibrated on Number 6 of Venus – the planet of love, peace, joy, happiness, harmony etc.

But, the film’s release date 15th ( 1 + 5 = 6 ) August 2008 and the compound number also adding up to Number 6 ( 1 + 5 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 8 = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6 ) should take care of it’s ’safe sailing’.

Finally, Yashraj can boast of a ‘hit’ film !

Himesh Reshammiya seems to be taking his career as an actor dead seriously. The recluse that she is, she just doesn’t devote any extra time for the publicity campaigns as can be noticed if one looks back at her last few released films like Aap Ka Suroor and Welcome. With Ugly Aur Pagli she gave that extra time because she is the solo lead and also shares a great rappo with it’s production house, PNC as they have given a hit together - Pyar Ke Side Effects. Now the new producers who are approaching her are coming along with special clauses in their film contract with her while signing her that she will allot a certain amount of time or days for the film’s publicity campaigns and product collaborations events. One is not sure as of yet whether, Mallika being the fireband herself, is lambasting those who approach her with such clauses or has accepted the fact that she does need to promote her own films with more gutso to keep her in the running.”

We wonder if many people have noticed this or not but we saw a blend of mixed colorful colors at the recently held press conference of Nikhil Advani’s forthcoming flick Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Let’s start with the lead actresses of the movie Deepika Padukone, appearing no less than a cute looking college girl in a sporty wear (green) combined with a pair of (silver) shoes. Love was indeed in the air that time (because Ranbir was standing next to her)

Next in queue was the sweet innocent looking Minisha Lamba in a tiny (yellow) dress who indeed had a transformation that night from being ‘Sweet to Hot’. She was looking no less than ‘A Diva’ that time. Way to go Minisha.

And then finally was the Bollywood bomb shell herself ready to attack each and everyone present there. Bipasha Basu was looking outrageously stunning in a small (pink) singlet with a hint of her cleavage shown enough to kill a million (maybe that’s why we call her a bomb shell)

Moving on from the ladies to gents (actually from girls to guys we’ll say )  was the guy who romanced with all the three ladies, Ranbir Kapoor and the man who made it possible for him to do that, Nikhil Advani, the director of the movie.

Ranbir once again didn’t shy to prove that he was indeed ruling the charts of the ‘boy-next-door’ image. He was rocking even in his super cool casual wear.

And finally the director, Nikhil Advani in a black shirt paired with denim blue jeans and a classy brown glares to show off.

So the entire cast of the movie seemed to be in a colorful mood. Now we don’t get to see such a situation very easily. Did the cast of the movie had previously planned this? (as the movie targets the young generation.)

Whatever the case is, we can just say that the entire cast rocked that night.

There has always been a strong connection between leopards and our bollywood beauties. So once again we are witnessing the age of leopard skin crawling into our fashion regime.

Few days back Rosa Catalano was seen wearing that and yesterday we caught Tanushree Dutta committing the same mistake.

We heard Tanushree is putting her heart and soul for her next flick Rama, the Saviour, where she is seen in skin tight dresses and a few animal skins, too. So we guess that must have inspired Tanushree in showing off her love for leopards. It seems to us that leopards have become her best friends.

No doubt Tanushree managed to look good (which generally does not happen) and showing a hint of her cleavage in a leopard skin added fuel to the fire.

The temperature was already rising and so was with Tanushree’s dress.

Q. Are you a complete foodie or do you watch what you eat?
A. I love watching recipe shows and taking tips of recipe but I don’t like cooking. I cook once in a week or so and whenever my mood tells me to do it. But I am not a kitchen person at all. I love experimenting with different kinds of vegetables.

Q. Your favorite cuisine – Continental/Oriental/Indian/ anything else…
A. I love Chinese.

Q. What would your prefer - Home-made food (Ghar Ka Khana) or food outside?
A. On Sundays it is outside food and from Monday to Saturday its only home made food.

Q. Your preference- Veg or non veg food?
A. I prefer Vegetarian.

Q. Drink you like to gulp in along with your food?
A. I think its water. I need a bottle of water by my side.

Q. Your favorite beverage?
A. I am a non-alcoholic so nothing on that front.

Q. Any hard-drinks that you take?  If yes, what are the brands that you prefer?
A. Strictly no to hard drinks.

Q. What about junk food?
A. I have my four months old daughter so I have to think and eat because what I am going to eat is going to affect her also. And as of now junk food is a complete no no.

Q. Your favorite fast food joint?
A. Nothing in particular. I just prefer ordering my food and eat it lying down on my bed.

Q. Your take on diet and health food?
A. I think we should eat healthy through out the week and at the same time you should also put some junk food inside your stomach otherwise the moment you eat a junk food you tend to fall ill. You should enjoy every kind of cuisine and should also check the amount of calories you are putting in.

Q. Which would be that one dish which you will not be able to resist?
A. It’s Gulkand kulfi, a dry fruit kulfi. If it is there in my fridge I can’t sleep. I have to eat it so that I can go to sleep.

Q. Could you share the recipe of the same with us?
A. I really don’t know. I think it is of reduced milk, gulkand, loads and loads of dry fruits and may be some multisided. I really don’t know. Whatever it is, it really tastes amazing.

Saif Ali Khan, one of the most successful actors in Bollywood is rarely out of the headlines. Whether it is for his films, his looks or his high profile relationships. He has most recently been connected to fellow Bollywood babe Kareena Kapoor. Now, his sister Soha Ali Khan, appearing on BBC Asian Network’s Love Bollywood show on digital radio, has given her blessing to Saif’s relationship in true sisterly style!

Soha said of her brother, “He’s always very open about his life and I feel very uncomfortable talking about his someone else. But because he’s a person who wears his heart on his sleeve and we all know who he’s seeing these days… (Kareena Kapoor) I just want to say I’ve never seen him so happy and he is genuinely very happy, his career ‘Masha Allah’ [ode to Allah] is going well right now and it all seems to be coming together for him.”

On whether Soha gets on well with her prospective sister in law, Soha said, “I’ve met her on a couple of occasions, I still know her better as an actor and I saw JAB WE MET recently and I thought it was a phenomenal performance for her and whatever I’ve seen she’s been lovely but it’s only been a couple of dinners.”

But Soha advised caution on buying a new saree just yet as Kareena hasn’t met the parents so far…

“No, not yet and I don’t think she’s met my parents as yet as far I know. She’s met me and my sister we’ve all gone out for a couple of dinners it’s been very nice.”

Soha Ali Khan will be seen opposite Irrfan Khan in a film that is tentatively titled ‘Bubblegum’. Directed by debutante director Anil Senior Sharma, ‘Bubblegum’ is a story about two metropolitan couples.

Says Anil, “It is a casting coup of sorts. Irrfan has been successfully paired opposite Konkona Sen Sharma and Tabu in the past. However, we were in search of a new pairing and found Soha and Irrfan interesting. They really look nice together.”

While Irrfan plays an investment banker, Soha runs a high profile beauty clinic in the movie. Let’s wait and see if this bubble glows or blows at the box office.

The serene girl of Refugee, the bubbly babe of Mujhe Kuchh Kehna Hai, the matured actress of Jab We Met and last but not the least the fresh breath size zero of Tashan. Are you still counting? Not so?
