Kismat Konnection, Shahid Kapoor’s new movie that is scheduled to release soon, gaining quite a good attention from the mass, may be his out of screen rumored chemistry with Vidya has led this development. However, recently in an event to promote music of the movie, contrary, Shahid was all alone. And he is looking to change his personality a lot, guess it yourself from the following pics.

In her forthcoming Suparn Verma’s flick ‘Acid Factory’, Dia will be seen in a glam-chic avatar. Says Suparn,

“The idea was to reinvent Dia and give her a never-before look. Her dresses, her mannerisms and the way she is going to appear in the film are extremely novel. New Delhi-based designer duo Nikhil-Shantanu are styling her.”

To be known here that Dia is the only female lead in the film. The male cast includes Fardeen Khan, Irrfan Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani and Danny Denzongpa. Knowing that female characters generally play the least part in Gupta’s movies, it was obviously speculated that here too Dia would not be anything better than a glam-doll. But all the speculations soon turned another leaf when at the media briefing on Geetanjali Lifestyle’s association with “Acid Factory” here Saturday, Gupta unveiled a life-size photograph of a Raquel Welchesque Dia Mirza. “This is Max, the lone and deadly girl in the movie,” he said.

If you just cannot imagine the petite actress Dia Mirza in an action-packed and deadly look, wielding a gun and terrorising everybody, take a sneak peak at this pic of the lady. It will sure scorch the town down!

From sex goddess she is ready to transform to Goddess Saraswati (Goddess of art and creativity and education). Talking about Mallika Sherawat, Bollywood sex kitten has been signed to play the role of the Hindu Goddess, Saraswati in a hollywood flick, The Aquarian Gospel, an epic story about the missing years of Jesus Christ’s life, where he travelled from Israel through to India. During his journey, Jesus encountered many people of different faiths, including Hinduism.

Mallika will play a faithful and dear friend of Jesus Christ on his trip to India. The lady has also signed another hollywood movie, Unveiled, which will cast her as a Muslim girl who has three affairs. After making a fool of herself in Jackie Chan’s ‘Myth’, hope these projects do not prove to be a disappointed for Mallika’s Hollywood inclination.

One actress who loves to sink into deep into her character is Mallika Sherawat.

It is heard that on the sets of Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam Mallika’s come up with a very unique style of greeting her costars and unit members.

The “Hi”s and “Hullo”s are passe and the traditional adakari is in on the sets. And it is thanks to Ms Sherwat who greets everyone with an adab, gently lifting her hand, a la Anarkali.

She even performs a few kathak steps to showcase her adaas and nakhras further.

But why would Mallika do this?

Well it was Mallika’s way of getting into the skin of the character. This is the way her character has to greet in the film. And what better way to practicse it other than to the costars and unit members on the sets.

All, all in all of Bollywood was presented at the music launch of ‘Singh is Kinng’ starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. During the music launch of the movie that is shot upto 80% is shot in Australia celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan,  Amitabh Bachachan, Neha Dhupia and others were presented. The movie is set to be released on August 8, 2008. See them at the party.

Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan’s, Kismat Konnection may have failed to impress the Indian audiences but the movie is surely filling in the theatre across the border. A red carpet premiere of the film was recently held at Karachi’s Nishat cinema wherein many celebs from Pakistan’s film industry were been seen attending. The audiences in Pakistan are happy to see the on-screen magical connection between Shahid and Vidya’s Jodi. Before Kismat Konnection, even Goal and Race did a very good business in Pakistan. Soon the Pakistan viewers would also get a treat to watch Vipul Shah’s Singh Is King which is due to be released across the border this August.

It’s good to see that Bollywood through its films is bridging the gap between these two wonderful countries.

Opposites attract. But they do repel as well. Such is the story of Jai and Aditi, the protagonists of ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’.

The second season of reality show “Big Boss” is all set to hit television screens Aug 17 and will be hosted by Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty on entertainment channel Colors.

It would be the first reality show to be telecast on all seven days of the week, Rajesh Kamat, CEO of Colors, said a press conference here announcing the programme’s launch date.

The Indian version of the popular British reality show “Big Brother”, “Big Boss” will see 14 people, including celebrities, locked into a house under the surveillance of over 30 cameras for a period of three months. These housemates will have no contact with the outside world.

Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty, who won “Big Brother” last year, was almost a natural choice to host the second season of the Indian version. And she had a word of advise to those participating in the show.

“The winner needs to just be oneself … that’s the main mantra,” Shilpa said.

The actress also emphathised with the participants as she had been through the situation herself.

“I’ll try to give them a little respite as I know that they will be going through a tough time. I remember what it was to live with strangers in a house cut off from the outside world with nobody to trust and vouch for,” she said.

Asvini Yardi, programming head of Colors, said Shilpa would be more like a mentor for the participants as she has gone through a similar experience.

CEO Kamat refused to divulge the names of the participants and said they would be revealed only on Aug 17 - the first episode.

He said that the second season would see many additions to the first one.

“For the fist time we have included newsmakers as well as common people on the show. Besides, we are also introducing a half-an-hour live and unedited slot everyday starting second week that will be aired at 12.30 a.m.”

While there won’t be any privacy, the house located on the outskirts of Mumbai would have no phones, television, internet, books or even a clock.

The 14 participants competing for a prize money of Rs.7.5 million will be allowed to bring only essential items to the house and they would have to cook and clean the place themselves.

Participants are voted out by housemates and the audiences periodically. The first season of “Bigg Boss” was aired in 2006 on Sony Television.

The latest buzz in the industry is that  Katrina Kaif will not be a part of the Sohail Khan Productions’ sequel to Partner, i.e., ‘Partner 2’. The film is set to go on the floors in March-April next year and David Dhawan is sweating hard at the script. David has also been signed for another film under Sohail Khan Productions which is titled as ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’.

Sohail Khan confirmed the news when he said, “The sequel to Partner will have the same leading actors - Salman and Govinda, but we are looking for different leading ladies.”

It could be recalled here that Salman-Govinda starrer ‘Partner’ was a huge hit in 2007. Katrina was paired opposite Govinda and Salman played the Love Guru. Meanwhile, we are wondering here that does this news confirm the souring relationship between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif?

There were reports few weeks back that the remake of the evergreen musical comedy Padosan was stalled forever. Sanjay Dutt had been signed on for playing not his father, late actor Sunil Dutt’s role in the original but that Kishore Kumar. Ritesh Deshmukh was finalised for Sunil Dutt’s role and Paresh Rawal in Mehmood’s role. The film had got stuck even before taking off after Sanjay Dutt’s date dairy bungled up.

But now according to our sources, Sanjay Dutt has given the makers a go ahead and the shooting is about to commence from early 2009. Neeraj Vora shall be writing and directing this remake. But the only glitch now remains is finding a suitable lead actress to reprise the role of sensous Saira Banu. There have been a few top names discussed but again their date problem is being a hurdle. The makers are considering Mallika Sherawat for the part, but she hasn’t been formally approached as of yet.

It would definately be a laugh riot to watch out for what with Ritesh playing the simpleton Bhola madly in love with his Bindoo. His music teacher friend, played by Sanjay Dutt teaching him ways to win her heart. But with a mighty opposition like the South Indian music teacher of hers played by Paresh Rawal.

Mallika Sherawat once had a showdown with Rangita Nandy, the producer of her film, Ugly Aur Pagli on its sets when it was being shot.

Unit sources reveal that, once while they were shooting in a Mumbai film studio, Rangita went upto Mallika on her arrival and told her to hurry up a bit for the day as the studio would not be available for them beyond some two three hours more as there was some technical maintainence going to take place. Co-operating with her producer, Mallika decided to hurry up things and so also were her co-stars and other technicians present on the sets. But as Mallika realised it would be impossible to complete all her scenes for the day at that particular studio, she decided to take the matter in her hand and try help her harried producer out. Mallika then directly went in to the studio authorities to request them to extend the deadline time as it was being problematic for the unit. But she was in for a rude shock when they flatly refused and told her that they would have loved to be but they won’t as she has been misrepresented by her producer. They revealed to her that they had given the film production team a sort of an ultimatum to wrap up early in two three hours as the production team had not made payments for the last two days they had shot in their studio.

Enraged by the false talk done by Rangita, Mallika went directly to her and lambasted her in front of everyone for painting a wrong picture. All was finally settled down only after Rangita said sorry to Mallika over this matter. As for the shooting, they all had no option but to wrap it all up as soon as possible!

She has been under constant attack from the critics for her wardrobe and her dressing sense for long, so she has decided to dress down this time. The international men’s magazine FHM had Vidya Balan looking absolutely sensuous, coy, sexy and inviting under satin sheets for their cover photo-shoot in their latest issue.

“I think what we shot for the cover was really very interesting especially where we used sheets and all and it’s just that there is a great sensuality to it. I always think that minimal make-up and no fuss hair takes away from everything and it’s all about the eyes,” said Vidya.

Photographer Joy Datta says, “She has been in the industry for a while now. She is very confident about her own self. Lot has been said about her dressing and all that but she is very aware about herself now and it’s a new Vidya. And it’s great to be a part of that new state she is in.”
